These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and visits to The Playground, operated by Assault Your Senses Ltd T/A The Playground.
By making a booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions and that you will make everyone included in your booking aware of the relevant conditions of participation.
The Playground is an outdoor assault course involving physical activity, obstacles, mud, water and an inherent risk of injury. Please make sure you understand the nature of the activity before booking.
Every participant must also have a Participant Waiver completed before taking part. Adults aged 18 or over must complete their own waiver. For participants under 18, the waiver must be completed by their parent or legal guardian.

1. BOOKINGS & TICKETS
1.1 All participants must have a valid booking to take part in The Playground.
1.2 Your booking is valid only for the date, time and number of participants shown on your booking confirmation.
1.3 Bookings are confirmed once payment has been made and a booking confirmation has been issued.
1.4 If you are making a booking on behalf of other people, you are responsible for ensuring that everyone in your party is aware of these Terms & Conditions and meets our participation requirements.
1.5 Every participant must have a completed Participant Waiver before taking part. Participants aged 18 or over must complete their own waiver. For participants under 18, the waiver must be completed by their parent or legal guardian.
1.6 If you are making a booking on behalf of other participants, you are responsible for forwarding the Participant Waiver to each adult participant and/or the parent or legal guardian of each participant under 18.
These Terms and Conditions together with any and all documentation referred to therein are the standard terms which apply to entry into The Playground by any customer, other members of a customer’s party, and their guest/s and their use of The Playground…
2. AGE & PARTICIPATION
2.1 The Playground is suitable for ages 5+.
2.2 Children aged 5 and 6 must be accompanied around the course by a paying, participating adult.
2.3 Participants under 18 must have parental or legal guardian consent.
2.4 There is no upper age limit. Participants should make their own assessment of whether they are physically able to take part.
2.5 We reserve the right to refuse participation where we reasonably believe someone is unable to safely take part.
3. CHANGING, CANCELLING & MOVING A BOOKING
3.1 Bookings are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law or specifically provided for under these Terms & Conditions.
3.2 You may request to move your booking to another available date up to 48 hours before your original booking time.
3.3 Date changes are subject to availability and must be made using the link in your booking confirmation or by contacting us on 07810 866499.
3.4 We cannot guarantee that an alternative date or time will be available.
3.5 Once the 48-hour period has passed, bookings cannot normally be moved or refunded.
3.6 If you fail to attend your booking, no refund or alternative date will normally be offered.
3.7 If The Playground cancels a booking before your visit, we will offer you either an alternative date or a full refund of the amount paid for the cancelled booking.
3.8 If we have to stop or close the course after your session has started because of circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather or safety concerns, we will offer an alternative date where reasonably possible.
3.9 Gift voucher payments will normally be refunded by issuing a replacement gift voucher rather than a cash refund.
4. WEATHER
The Playground is an outdoor activity and operates in most weather conditions.
Rain, mud, cold and general British weather are not normally reasons for cancellation or refund.
For safety reasons, we may need to close or suspend activities because of conditions including, but not limited to:
High winds
Lightning
Ice
Extreme weather
Flooding
Other conditions that we reasonably consider unsafe
Where we have to cancel or close for safety reasons, we will contact affected customers as soon as reasonably possible and provide an alternative date or refund where appropriate.
5. CHANGES TO THE PLAYGROUND
We continually maintain and develop The Playground.
For safety, maintenance, operational or other reasonable reasons, we may temporarily close individual obstacles or make changes to the course.
We will endeavour to provide as many obstacles as possible, but we cannot guarantee that every obstacle will be available during every session.
We may also temporarily close all or part of The Playground where reasonably necessary for safety, operational reasons, staff availability, special events or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
6. SAFETY & BEHAVIOUR
The Playground is a physical activity and participants must take reasonable care of themselves and others.
All participants must:
Follow instructions given by our Playmakers and staff.
Follow the safety briefing before taking part.
Use the obstacles in the manner explained by our staff.
Take reasonable care when climbing, jumping, sliding, crawling or entering water/mud areas.
Give other participants sufficient space.
Report any accident, injury or significant hazard to a member of staff immediately.
Pushing, shoving, reckless behaviour or deliberately putting yourself or others at risk is not permitted.
We reserve the right to remove anyone who behaves in a way that we reasonably consider unsafe, disruptive or dangerous.
No refund will normally be provided where a participant is removed because of unsafe or unacceptable behaviour.
7. ALCOHOL & DRUGS
Participants must not take part while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
We reserve the right to refuse participation or remove anyone we reasonably believe is under the influence or whose behaviour presents a risk to themselves or others.
8. MEDICAL CONDITIONS & FITNESS
The Playground involves physical activity and participants should consider their own health and fitness before taking part.
If you have a medical condition, injury, disability, pregnancy or any other circumstance that may affect your ability to participate safely, please contact us before booking or speak to a Playmaker on arrival.
You should seek appropriate medical advice where necessary before taking part.
We may recommend that a participant does not take part where we reasonably believe participation could present a significant safety risk.
Participants must tell a Playmaker if they feel unwell, injured or unable to continue.
9. CHILDREN
Parents, guardians and responsible adults remain responsible for the children in their care.
Our Playmakers supervise the activity and provide instructions and assistance, but they do not replace the responsibility of a parent or guardian.
Children aged 5 and 6 must be accompanied around the course by a paying, participating adult.
10. DISABILITY & ACCESSIBILITY
We welcome participants with disabilities and will make reasonable efforts to accommodate individual needs where possible.
Because The Playground is an outdoor assault course involving uneven ground, climbing, mud, water and physical obstacles, not every part of the course will necessarily be accessible to everyone.
If you have accessibility requirements or would like to discuss whether The Playground is suitable for you or someone in your group, please contact us before booking.
11. JEWELLERY & PERSONAL ITEMS
For safety reasons, participants should remove jewellery before taking part.
This includes rings, earrings, watches and other loose items that could cause injury or become caught on an obstacle.
Please secure phones, keys and other personal belongings before entering the course.
Personal belongings are brought to The Playground at the owner’s own risk.
We cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where we are legally responsible.
12. FIRST AID & ACCIDENTS
Our Playmakers are trained to provide appropriate first aid within the scope of their training.
If you are injured or become unwell during your visit, please tell a member of staff immediately.
We will take reasonable steps to provide assistance and, where necessary, contact the emergency services.
13. PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO
Photography and video may take place at The Playground for marketing and promotional purposes.
Where identifiable photographs or video are intended for use by The Playground, we will operate an appropriate consent/opt-out process.
If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed for promotional purposes, please tell a member of staff before your session.
Photography by customers for personal use is permitted provided it does not interfere with the safety, privacy or enjoyment of other participants.
14. GIFT VOUCHERS
Gift vouchers are subject to the terms shown at the time of purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and can be used towards eligible Pay & Play bookings at either Cambridge or Ipswich.
Gift vouchers cannot normally be exchanged for cash.
15. PRIVATE BOOKINGS, PARTIES & GROUPS
Private bookings, birthday parties, corporate sessions, school visits, sports sessions and other group bookings may be subject to additional booking conditions communicated at the time of booking.
Where additional terms apply, those terms will form part of your booking.
16. LIABILITY
The Playground involves physical activity and there is an inherent risk of injury.
We take reasonable steps to maintain the course, provide safety information and instructions, and operate the activity safely.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any rights or remedies you have under applicable consumer law.
We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings except where we are legally responsible.
17. YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Where there is a conflict between these Terms & Conditions and a mandatory legal right, the applicable law will take precedence.
18. COMPLAINTS
We want everyone to have a brilliant experience at The Playground.
If you have a complaint, please raise it with a member of the team as soon as possible so that we have the opportunity to resolve it.

19. PRIVACY
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

20. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The version that applies to your booking will normally be the version in force when your booking is made, unless a change is required by law or is necessary for safety or operational reasons.
21. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any applicable consumer rights.
