Nick Smith

Nick is a well qualified and highly experienced Personal Trainer who has worked with a wide range of clients over the last 10 years to help them achieve their personal goals; from marathon and triathlon training, to weight loss, muscle building or simply improving fitness as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Over a decade of experience in the fitness industry, along with a successful career in the Armed Forces, has helped Nick to develop his professional values; ingrained within which is a meticulous attention to detail, a high level of personal fitness and the temperament to work hard and motivate others to achieve their aims.

Nick continues to enjoy a wide range of sports and athletic interests outside of his professional life. Having represented the Royal Air Force at both football and cross country, he has recently achieved regional success running for St Edmund Pacers, as well as competing in obstacle course races around the country. Nick recently completed his first Ironman triathlon; a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, finished off with a 26.2 mile marathon run!

 

Phil Smith

Phil has worked as a Personal Trainer since 2006. He is also qualified in nutrition and weight management.

Having first joined a gym when he was 15, he has vast experience of fitness and exercising and is passionate about passing his knowledge on to other people. Phil is also a very keen sportsman, his main activities include football, basketball, tennis and snowboarding.

He has competed in numerous obstacle course races, including Tough Guy – the world’s most demanding one-day survival ordeal.

 

Simon Goss

Simon is a qualified personal trainer who has experience with helping clients achieve outstanding results in weight loss, marathon training, muscle building and overall improved fitness levels, but specialises in all things related to Obstacle Course Racing, including obstacle technique, clothing and nutrition advice for all levels of ability, over races of all distances.

Simon’s own experience comes from many years of playing football at a competitive level, before taking up obstacle course racing in 2013. Since his first Spartan Sprint Race, he has gone on to complete many races of varying distances from 6k sprints, to 20 mile events, 4 laps of Winter Nuts to completing the infamous Tough Guy, and even a 24 hour endurance race.

His personal achievements during this time have been claiming 2nd place at the 6k Nuclear Race, qualifying for both the obstacle race World Championships and the U.K. Championships, where he claimed 11th place in his age category, and many other top 10 finishes. Simon continues to race at a competitive level and is continually looking for more demanding challenges to test his abilities, and is looking forward to representing the UK at this years Obstacle Course Racing World Championships in Canada.”

 

Ollie Runswick

Ollie is a qualified Personal Trainer who has great experience in helping clients achieve their goals, whether that be weight loss, muscle gain, nutritional and lifestyle changes as well as general health and fitness. Having trained in different environments, including commercial gyms, such as Sports Direct, privately in various locations, and now locally at the Fornham All Saints ‘Health Hub’, Ollie has had practise training a wide range of clients, from all different age groups and fitness levels.

As a youth he was a member of various clubs, such as football teams, tennis clubs and a large range of extracurricular activities, such as the Duke Of Edinburgh scheme. This grew into a passion for fitness which he took to the Keele University gym as he studied English and Philosophy. When he graduated he qualified as a Level 3 Trainer with the aim to help and educate as many people as he can till the end of his career.

 

Daniel Heath

Dan has been a Personal Trainer for 3 years with the aim of inspiring people to live a healthier lifestyle.

Each week he works with hundreds of clients helping them to achieve there aims and goals. He focuses on everything from weight loss and toning to marathon running and OCR.

Dan is always looking for the next challenge hence why he has signed up to the dirty double 2017 (40 miles/400 obstacles). Throughout the year he competes in a summer and winter mountain bike series currently ranked 13th in the east region. He is an avid snowboarder, obstacle course runner, cyclist, rugby player and boxer so he has plenty of experience to help you train for a specific sport or simply to guide you through improving your lifestyle.

 

Dan Burling

Dan has a 1st class Sports Science degree, where he gained a lot of knowledge on; Scientific Basis of Training, Exercise Testing, Psychology, Biomechanics and Strength and Conditioning to name a few. His project was based on finding an optimal warm-up intensity for 2000m rows.

He is a fitness instructor at various gyms, gaining experience of working with a wide range of members, delivering group exercise classes and creating individualised 4-6 week programmes. He has also started his own group exercise sessions in different locations around the Cambridgeshire area which focuses on female only beginners sessions. Dan also runs “Rabble” sessions on Parker’s Piece in Cambridge, which is based on getting fitter and faster through lots of different fun games, aimed for all abilities. Dan has always had an interest in sport and fitness, his main sport was rugby, playing at club, uni and County level, and enjoys 5-a-side football when he can play. He also enjoys running his favourite 6 mile loop around Cambridge.

 

Jon Settle

Jon is a passionate Outdoor Pursuits Instructor and qualified Personal Trainer. He has years of experience instructing activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, various high ropes activities and many more adventurous sports!

Jon started out studying and working in music and computer-based technology before transitioning to sport and fitness. He now specializes in running games and fitness sessions for young people (including schools and community groups) and focuses on always encouraging people to have fun while reaping the huge mental and physical benefits that exercise brings!

During his down time, Jon lets off steam by riding local forest mountain bike trails and performing all over East Anglia with his Soul/funk party band.

 

Terri

Terri is a fully qualified fitness instructor and runs her own very successful boot camp! She thrives on helping everyone, from the less confident to the very fit and competitive.

She has always had a passion for fitness and the great outdoors. She spent 10 years riding race horses and getting them fit and ready for big races all over the world! Terri enjoys competing in obstacle races and loves to encourage others to push themselves to their limits and reach their own personal goals!
